Obituary of Roderic H. Rhinesmith

Roderic H. Rhinesmith, 70, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. He was born in Newark and had lived in Madison before moving to Point Pleasant 43 years ago. Roderic was retired from the Ocean County Engineering Department, Toms River where he had been employed as a surveyor. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps from 1963-1967. Surviving are his sons, Eric and his wife, Samantha of Barnegat and Grant and his wife Tammy of Dover, New Hampshire; his daughter Katharine Cogan and her husband, Thomas of Tinton Falls; his brother Gary Rhinesmith of Huntersville, North Carolina; his sister, Elaine Buchanan and her husband Jay of Huntingdon, PA; his former wife, Nancy Rhinesmith of Brick and five grandchildren, Kaitlin, Philomena, Erin, Jonathan and Brendan. There will be a Gathering of Friends on Saturday, May 15 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. Cremation will be private.
