Obituary of Philip Bruce Johnson

Philip Bruce Johnson, 74, of Original Leisure Village, Lakewood, passed away, Saturday, May 15, 2010. Born in Point Pleasant, to the late George and Letty May (Odell) Johnson, he was a lifelong area resident and has lived in Lakewood for the past ten years. Bruce was a retired commercial fisherman and was also co-owner of Falkinburg Septic Service, Point Pleasant. He liked stained glasses crafting and playing Bocce ball. He was predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth Casagrande and by his brothers, George and Harry Johnson. Surviving are his significant other of thirty years, Elsie W. Falkinburg; two sons, Phillip and David Johnson; his daughter, Letty Ryan; his sister, Lillian Shaughnessy; his step daughter, Jamie Anderson; his step son, Colin Falkinburg; three grandchildren, Leanne, Stefani, and Juli; three step-grandchildren, Casey, Samantha, and Alexis; and two great-grandchildren, Gianni and Sergio. Friends may visit from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m., Wednesday, May 19 at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 8:30 p.m. a service will be held. Cremation will be held privately.
