Obituary of Dorothy A. Carroll

Dorothy A. O'Brien Carroll, 79, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Saturday, May 22, 2010. Born in Jersey City, to the late William and Mary (Carey) O'Brien, she was raised there and had lived in Woodbridge before moving to Point Pleasant thirteen years ago. Her life was truly devoted to her family. She was predeceased by her sister in laws, Patricia O'Brien and Geraldine O'Brien. Surviving are her husband of fifty two years, Frank J. Carroll; two sons, Frank T. Carroll and his wife Karen of Medford and Daniel Carroll and his wife Ellen of Lakewood, CO; two daughters, Maureen Carroll of Maywood and Eileen Carroll of Point Pleasant; ten grandchildren, Shannon, William, Elijah, Evangeline, Brielle, Sarah, Margaret, Robert, Cynthia, and Frank; three brothers, William O'Brien, Daniel O'Brien and his wife Elaine, and James O'Brien; three sisters, Regina Teeters and her husband Charles, Marilyn O'Brien, and Rosemary D'Ambrosio and her husband Joseph. Relatives and friends may visit from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m., Wednesday, May 26 at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 11 a.m., Thursday, Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of Saint Martha, Point Pleasant. Committal will be held privately.
