Dad was the physical therapist at Ocean Orthopedic Associates in Lakewood from 1968 until he retired in 1983. Dr. Jacob Seltzer, one of the partners of the practice called Dad "Magic Fingers." He loved to tell the story about how he got one of his patients Susan Hamilton to walk. Dad was so proud how he watched Susan walk to get her diploma and graduate from Georgian Court. Dad also told us about a patient with a broken back and that if it wasn’t for his “Magic Fingers” the man would never have walked.
Dad had several of these stories that he was so very proud of. He also told the story of how got a retired general to walk when he was at Fort Monmouth. The general had a stroke and no one thought that he would ever walk. Dad helped countless people when he served in the U.S. Army at Walter Reed Army Hospital, Panama Canal Zone, and Patterson Army Hospital at Fort Monmouth. Dad had many stories that he told us over and over again. When I think about all of his accomplishments and good deeds it makes me very proud that he was my father. I know he lived a long life but I will miss him terribly. Love you always--Kathy

I loved Uncle Andy and am saddened to hear of his passing. He was such a good man and is certainly now in Our Father’s Heavenly Kingdom. He was my Godfather, and I have many fond memories of being with him when I was a young boy. My thoughts and prayers are with Uncle Andy and all of the Galya family.

I have very fond memories of Andy visiting us in Massachusetts with either Katie, Kelsie or Kenny for several summers. He was such an easy guest, happy to sit around and talk or run errands with us or visit a park. And he really enjoyed the train trip from N.J. Farewell, Andy - you'll be missed. Your daughter-in-law, Betty
