Obituary of Mary Banvard

Mary Banvard passed away on July 4th at the age of 85 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born and raised in Paterson, NJ, she moved to Point Pleasant 30 years ago. Known to those who loved her as Meam, she will be remembered for her funny stories and expressions and for the love and devotion that she gave to her family and to many other children over her lifetime. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Russell in 1979 and by her parents, Dominick and Gilda DePadua. She is survived by her daughter Joann and her husband Joseph Colon of Point Pleasant, NJ; her granddaughters Niccole Lucich and her husband Michael of Point Pleasant, NJ, and Tara Williams and her husband Lawrence of Boulder, CO; her honorary grandchildren Louis and Jessica Colon of Point Pleasant, NJ and Timothy Kratz of West Caldwell, NJ; and her great-grandchildren Jared, Ryder, and Caden Lucich of Point Pleasant, NJ and Elle Williams of Boulder, CO; and the many children that she cared for over the years. Friends may visit on Wednesday, July 7th from 6-8 pm at the Pable-Evertz Funeral Home, 901 Beaver Dam Road, Point Pleasant, NJ where a service of remembrance will be held at 7:30 pm.
