Obituary of Madelyn L. Smith

Madelyn L. Koller Smith, 93, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Saturday, August 14, 2010. Born and raised in Elizabeth, she had lived in Roselle Park and moved to Point Pleasant in 1983. In her youth, Mrs. Smith had worked as secretary for the president of the Prudential Insurance Company, Newark. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Russell Smith and by her son, Kenneth Smith. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Elly Smith of Brick; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Amy, and Carrie; and two great-grandchildren, Gabriella and Joshua. At 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 18, a graveside service, followed by interment, will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, North Broad Street, Hillside. There will be no calling hours and those attending may meet at the cemetery directly. Arrangements are by the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant.
