Obituary of Martha R. Whittles

Martha McSherry Whittles, 59, of Point Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at her home. Born in and formerly of Kearny, she has lived in Point Pleasant for thirty-five years. She was predeceased by her father, Norman McSherry and by her brother, Jeff McSherry. Surviving are her beloved husband, Michael Whittles; two sons, Michael Whittles and his wife Diana of Hoboken and Steven Whittles and his wife Kristine of Leonardo; her mother, Martha McSherry of Brick; her sister, Norma Tortorello and her husband Frank of Brick; and four grandsons, Patrick, Brian, Sean, and Colin. She is also survived by two best friends, Nancy Furnback and Patricia DeMarco. Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 2 - 4 p.m., on Saturday, December 11 at he Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 3:30 p.m. a memorial service will be held.
