Obituary of Elsie V. Snell

Elsie V. Branda Snell, 67, of Toms River, passed away, Sunday, December 12, 2010 at Ocean Medical Center Hospice, Brick. Born in North Bergen, to the late Frank & Elsie (Siebert) Branda, she came to Ocean County in 1954 and has lived in Toms River for the past eight years. Elsie loved cooking, especially baking, and was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Point Pleasant Borough Fire Company No. 1. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Phillip A. Snell and by her brother, Robert Branda. Surviving are two daughters, Lori Snell and Cathleen Lindgens; three sisters, Elaine Gowin, Joan Megow, and Jane Rivera; her brother, Frank Branda; seven grandchildren, Ryan Snell, Tianna Sparany, Taylor Bankston, Nicole Snell, David Freeman, Jessica Freeman, and Jennifer Lindgens; two great-grandchildren, Joseph Busa and Aubry Sparany; nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Visitation will be held from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m., Friday, December 17, at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 8:30 p.m. a service will be held.
