Obituary of Frank Carl Fannelli

Frank Carl Fannelli, 89, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the New Jersey Veterans Home, Menlo Park. Born in Fort Lee, to the late Frank and Angelina (Coletti) Fannelli, he has lived in Point Pleasant since 1964. Mr. Fannelli was a United States Navy veteran and served in the Marshall Islands during World War II. He was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Medal, with seven stars, and the Philippine Liberation Medal, with two stars, for service to his country. For many years he worked in the maintenance department of Savarin Coffee, Palisades Park, and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Bay Head. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Evelyn Bremen Fannelli in February, 2010, surviving are two sons, Frank of Toms River and William and his wife Marie of Brick; his daughter, Rosemary Meyer and her husband Andrew of Point Pleasant; and four grandchildren, Lisa Fannelli, Robyn Wilhelm, Lindsey Fannelli, and Peter Fannelli. Friends may visit from 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. on Friday, January 7 at the Pable-Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 10 a.m. a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, Bay Head, followed by interment at Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee.
