Obituary of Edward J. Anilonis

Edward J. Anilonis, 82, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Friday, December 31, 2010 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Born in Elizabeth, to the late Dominic & Mary Anilonis, he lived there and moved to Point Pleasant nearly fifty years ago. A United States Army, Korean war era veteran, Mr. Anilonis was awarded the Army of Occupation medal for his service in Germany during the aftermath of World War II. He was a retired tool and die maker and had worked for the Singer Sewing Machine Corporation, Elizabeth, for thirty five years. His passions were fishing and baking and was a NY Jets Fan. He was also a communicant and Holy Name Society member of Sacred Heart Church, Bay Head. Surviving are his beloved wife of fifty years Dolores Neverouck Anilonis; three sons, James and his wife Jacqueline of Point Pleasant, Chris and his wife Sheri of Bridgewater, and Bryon and his wife Donnamarie of Point Pleasant; his daughter, Rita Settembrino and her husband Kevin of Middletown; and nine grandchildren, Kaitlin, Chelsea, Hailey, Michael, Kimberly, Gregory, Eric, Daniel, and Amy. Visitation will be from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 6, at the Pable-Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 11:30 a.m., Friday, a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, Bay Head, followed by interment at Saint Anne Cemetery, Wall.
