Obituary of Stephen W. Grabowski

Stephen W. Grabowski, 73, of Point Pleasant Beach, passed away, Friday, January 14, 2011 at the Claremont Care Center, Point Pleasant. Born in Newark, to the late John & Mary Grabowski, he lived there and also in Roselle Park. He moved to Brielle and then to Point Pleasant Beach, where he has lived for the past ten years. Mr. Grabowski worked for General Motors, Linden Plant, for thirty years retiring as an inspector. He proudly served his country in the United States Army; was a member of the V.F.W., Post No. 4715, Point Pleasant Beach; and was an avid fisherman. He was predeceased by his brother John "Sonny" Grabowski, Jr. Surviving are his son, Michael and his wife Coleen of Point Pleasant; his daughter, Dianne Vail of Winfield Park; two brothers, Robert and his wife Cheryl and Thomas, all of Mountainside; two granddaughters, Madison and Taylor; and his great-grandson, Jagger. A Liturgy in Memoriam will be celebrated, 11 a.m., Thursday, January 20 at Saint Peter R.C. Church, Forman & Saint Louis Aves., Point Pleasant Beach. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
