Obituary of Margaret B. Johnson

Margaret Bills Johnson, 96, of Ortley Beach, passed away, Friday, January 21, 2011 at Claremont Care Center, Point Pleasant. Born in Lakewood, to the late Hal and Eva Bills, she lived there and has resided in Ortley Beach since 1962. Mrs. Johnson worked in the cafeteria at Lakewood High School, retiring in 1971 and was a member of the Union Church of Lavallette. Her beloved husband, Joseph Holmes Johnson, predeceased her in 1991. Surviving are her son, Joseph Johnson and his wife Catherine of Point Pleasant; two grandchildren, Joseph Johnson and his wife Roseann and Kathryn Cummings and her husband Gregory; and three great-grandchildren, Jessica, Christopher, and Joseph. Visitation will be from 2 - 4 p.m., Monday, Jan. 24 at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 25 her funeral service will be held. Interment will follow at Greenville Cemetery, Lakewood.
