Obituary of Milton F. Hurley

Milton F. Hurley, 88, of Toms River, passed away, Wednesday, January 26, 2011 peacefully at home with family at his side. Born in Freehold, to the late Milton R. and Helen (Kellington) Hurley, he grew up in Manasquan and moved to Brick where he lived and raised his family for over 60 years. Mr. Hurley was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a self-employed plumber owning Hurley & Son Plumbing in Point Pleasant Beach and Brick. He was a former member and captain of the Brick First Aid Squad. He was predeceased by his wife Catherine (Applegate) Hurley in 2006 Surviving are two sons, Frank V. and wife Peggy, and James A. and Laura, both of Brick; two daughters, Cathy Patt of Lakeland, Florida and Jean Alemi and husband Anthony of Toms River; one sister, Gloria Ryder and her husband Malcom of Spring Lake Heights and nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 - 4 p.m., Sunday, January 30 at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road and funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 31. Entombment will be at Atlantic View Cemetery, Manasquan.
