Obituary of Eleanor J. Polewka

Eleanor Julia Gruchacz Polewka, 80, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Saturday, February 5, 2011 at home. Born in Newark, to the late Joseph & Joanna Gruchacz, she was formerly of Springfield and has lived in Point Pleasant since 1991. A homemaker, Mrs. Polewka was a communicant of Saint Peter R.C. Church, Point Pleasant Beach. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert. Surviving are her son, Matthew Polewka and his wife Carolyn of Califon; her daughter, Eileen MacCormack of Green Creek; four grandchildren, Islay, Trevor, Jennifer, and Matthew; and two great-grandchildren, Hayden and Lexi. Visitation will be held from 9-10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 15 at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 11 a.m., a Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Peter Church followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
