Veronica Elberson, 96, of Point Pleasant Beach, entered eternal life on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick, surrounded by her family. Veronica Elberson was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her greatest joy was in caring for her family and others. She will be sadly missed and forever remembered for all her contributions to their lives. She lived in Point Pleasant Beach since 1940, after marrying the love of her life, Howard "Knute" Elberson, a great fisherman and life-long Point Pleasant Beach resident. She worked with him for a period of time at Johnson's Point Pleasant Hardware Company. Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, to the late Antanas & Petrona Rasimas, she was the youngest of seven siblings including Alice, Ann, Walter, John, Joseph, and Frank. She was proud of her Lithuanian heritage and her attendance at St. Joseph School, Scranton. Predeceased by her beloved husband Howard, surviving are two sons, Joseph Elberson and his wife Lenore of Brick and John Elberson of Point Pleasant Beach; her daughter, Alice Elberson Pidduck and her husband Thomas of Point Pleasant Beach; three grandchildren, Jason Elberson and his wife Sara, Veronica Pidduck, and Andrew Pidduck; and her great-grandson, Jacob Elberson. She was a communicant of Saint Peter's Church, Point Pleasant Beach. Funeral services will be private, with a memorial mass arranged for a later date.
