Obituary of Audrey Jones

Audrey Garthwait Jones, 78, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Saturday, June 18, 2011 at home surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Point Pleasant, to the late William & Eva (Sweeney) Garthwait, she was a life -long resident and graduate of Point Pleasant Beach High School. Mrs. Jones had been a food service worker at Point Pleasant Hospital and former Sunday School teacher at Harvey Memorial United Methodist Church, Point Pleasant. She was totally devoted to her family, children, and grandchildren. Her beloved husband, Carlton "Putt" Jones predeceased her in 2009. Surviving are her son, Christopher Jones and his wife Diane of Point Pleasant; two daughters, Laurie Reilly and her husband Neil of Brick and Tracie Turner and her husband Barr of Neptune; her sister, Marion Turner and her husband Charles; her brother, Eldon Garthwait and his wife Carmella; seven grandchildren, Nicole, Ashley, & Christina Reilly, Barr Turner Jr., Christine, Catherine, & Carolyn Jones Special thanks to "Aunt Marion" for always being there for her. A memorial visitation will be held from 6 - 9 p.m., Tuesday, June 21 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road.
