Obituary of Lucille J. Pagach

Lucille Joyce Vaughn Pagach of Toms River passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Born in Philadelphia on the 4th of July, 1935, she grew up in Chester, PA, where she met Vince, her husband of forty years. Together they lived in Georgia, Bayonne, Maryland, and Plainfield, where they raised five children. She delighted in her many friends at the Greenbriar Woodlands Community. Traveling, playing cards, Bocce, and keeping active among many clubs were pleasures she cherished. Always an advocate for animals, Lucille was a longtime donor to the Associated Humane Societies, Popcorn Park Zoo, and P.A.W.S. animal shelter in Utah. She will be missed by the many souls she opened her heart and home to over the years. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Vincent P. Pagach, Jr., her parents, Samuel Vaughn and Joyce Crossen Vaughn, and by her son, David John Pagach. Surviving are three sons, Vince P. Pagach, Jr. of Keansburg, Christopher J. Pagach of Spring TX, and Keith V. Pagach and his wife Michele of Belvidere; and one daughter, Susan Pagach Ward and her husband Robert of Point Pleasant. A devoted grandmother she is also survived by her grandchildren, Patrick, Peter, Mark, Jessica, Kyle, and Deven. Visitation will be from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m., Friday, July 8 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 9, a Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of Saint Martha, 3800 Herbertsville Road, Point Pleasant. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Lucille's memory to either the Popcorn Park Zoo or Plainfield Area Humane Society.
