Obituary of Anthony "Mickey" Chudyk

Anthony "Mickey" Chudyk, 77, of Brick passed away on Tuesday, August 2 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Born in Newark, he resided in Clark before moving to Brick 30 years ago. He was a retired school van driver and had been employed by Unlimited Auto, Keyport. Mr. Chudyk was a graduate of East Side High School, Newark. He was proud to be a decorated US Navy veteran serving in Korea. Mr. Chudyk was a member of the American Legion and VFW of Brick. He was an avid fisherman and a Giants and Mets fan. Lovingly known as Pop-Pop Mick by his grandchildren, he is survived by his long time love of his life and long time companion, Annette Hoffman; four sons, Thomas of Point Pleasant, and Michael, Harry and John of Brick; two daughters, Renee Philips of Illinois and Margaret Gallagher of Barnegat; two sisters, Ann Marie Freeman of Whiting and Jackie Wilson of Pennsylvania and seven grandchildren, Derek, Dylan, Nicky, Ryhan, Thea, Sabrina and Kevin. He was predeceased by Bonnie Deehan, a member of his extended family. Surviving members of his extended family are Susan Watt, Charles and Maureen Hoffman and Gregory Deehan.
