Obituary of Angelina Mossa

Angelina Mossa, 89, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. Angelina was born in Sannicandro di Bari, Italy. She married and immigrated to the United States in 1947. Angelina and her husband Paul resided in New York City, before moving to Belleville in 1955 and in 1990 moved to Point Pleasant Beach. For the past thirteen years she lived with her beloved daughter Mary and Son-in-law Ray Cervino. Angelina was a homemaker who loved cooking, baking and sewing. She worked as a seamstress for Biondi Bridal Shop in Belleville, The Marilyn Shop in Newark, and Seibel's in Newark. She was a member of The Glorious Years senior citizen club, at St. Peter's Church in Point Pleasant Beach. More importantly, Angelina was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. Angelina was pre-deceased by her parents, Giuseppe and Victoria Mossa and her husband of 46 years, Paul. She is survived by her beloved children, Joseph Mossa and his wife Rosemary, of Colorado, Victor Mossa and his wife Catherine of Belleville, Mary Mossa and her husband, Raymond Cervino from Point Pleasant Beach and Angela Escudero and her husband Alphonso from Kinnelon. Angelina leaves six grandchildren, Paul, Tony, Aimee, Christopher, Dana and Madelana and two Great Grandchildren, Summer and Micah. She is also survived by her brother Vito Mossa and his wife Maria; her sister Theresa Trotti and her husband Frank and her sister Maria Michielli and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4 - 8 p.m., Monday, Aug. 8 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 9 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 9, Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Peter R.C. Church, Point Pleasant Beach, followed by entombment at Saint Catharine Cemetery, Sea Girt.
