Obituary of Theodore G Henry

Theodore G. Henry, 72, of Toms River, formerly of Point Pleasant, passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side, on Monday, August 29, 2011, after a brief illness, at Ocean Medical Center. He was born in Elizabeth and raised in Garwood. Ted was a member of the Durand Lodge, No. 179, F. & A.M., Point Pleasant Beach for over forty years and a Tall Cedars and Shriners member for many years. He was a Worshipful Master of Durand Lodge for two terms and also Grand Senior Deacon of the Grand Lodge of New Jersey, F.&A.M., from 2006-2007. He owned a flower shop in Point Pleasant for many years and ended his career at Ferris Brothers Wholesale Florist retiring in 2004. Ted was a major fan of the New York Mets, New Jersey Devils, and was an avid fisherman and gardener. He loved his grandsons and his dog, Leah. He was predeceased by his parents, Theodore Noll Henry & Rose Schemnauer Henry and by his brother, Richard. Surviving are his loving wife, of fifty years, Elizabeth "Bidou" Henry; daughter, Stacey Henry of Point Pleasant and son, Jeffrey Henry, and his wife Karen, of Linden, MI. Ted is also survived by three grandsons, Jordan Henry of Point Pleasant, Nicolas Henry of Linden, MI, and Quinn Figueroa of Point Pleasant; several nieces, nephews, and in-laws of the United Sates and Canada. Visitation will be from 1 - 5 p.m., Saturday, September 3at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. Masonic and Religious services will be held during the visitation.
