Obituary of Anne L. Donohue

Anne L. Donohue, 88, formerly of Point Pleasant, passed away on Sunday, October 9 at Sunnyside Manor, Wall Township. Born in Bayonne, to the late Joseph Nowicki and Albertina Tarasiuk, she had moved to Point Pleasant 35 years ago. Mrs. Donohue was predeceased by her husband, Harry Donohue in 1993, her sister Emily in 2002 and her three brothers, John, Stanley and Joseph. Surviving are her son, Thomas Dent and Sylvia Hummel of Brick; her former daughter-in-law, Karen Ryan of Manasquan; two grandchildren, Trisha K. Brown and her husband, Mike, and Thomas Dent and his partner John Castleman. She was lovingly known as Granny Annie by her two great grandchildren, Ginger and Donovan Brown. Annie's love of the Jersey Shore began as a young woman and her dream was fulfilled when she became a full time resident of Point overlooking the Manasquan River. Visitation will be from 4 - 7 p.m., Wednesday, October 12 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday a funeral service will be held. Entombment will be at St. Catharine's Cemetery, Wall Township.
