Obituary of Edward J. Bennett

Edward J. Bennett, 96, of Brick, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 25, 2011 at home. Born in Avon-By-the-Sea, NJ, to the late Fred & Maude Bennett, he was a long time Spring Lake Heights resident and has lived in Brick for the past nine years. Mr. Bennett was retired from the Borough of Spring Lake Water/Sewage Department, where he worked for thirty-two years. He was predeceased by his wife, Ellen Morton Bennett and by his son, Jackson A. Bennett. Surviving are his daughter, Joan C. Havens of Brick, two grandchildren, Donna Sue Eccles and Harry Havens; six great-grandchildren, Steven, Samantha, Timothy, Taylor Marie, Martina, and Rae Ann; and his great-great grandson, Colin. Visitation will be from 9:30- 10 a.m., Monday, November 28 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 10 a.m. a service will be held.
