Obituary of Phyllis A. Vorndran

Our Lord welcomes, Phyllis Ann Glavin DeAngelis Vorndran, born November 12, 1937, and passed away peacefully on November 23, 2011 at Community Medical Center. Phyllis was born in Jersey City and was a graduate of Catherine Gibbs Secretarial School. She settled in Point Pleasant where she raised her family. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Point Pleasant Fire Company, No. 2, and worked for twenty years as a Real Estate agent. Phyllis was a communicant of Saint Elizabeth Anne Seton R.C. Church. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, Richard DeAngelis and by her sister, Carol Herald. She is survived by her husband, Charles Vorndran; children, Richard of Spring Lake Heights, Catherine of Parksley, VA, Thomas and his wife Nida of Brick, Mary Frances of Cashville, VA, and Christopher of Springhill, FL; three brothers, Joseph (Bud), Robert, and William Glavin; her ten grandchildren; and one adored great-grandchild. At 10 a.m., Saturday, December 3, a Memorial Liturgy will be celebrated at the Church of Saint Dominic, 250 Old Squan Road (corner of Route 88), Brick.
