Obituary of Audrey M. Moore

Audrey M. Moore, nee Hankins, 83, of Point Pleasant Beach, passed away on Saturday, January 28 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bay Head, she was a life-long resident of the area. She attended Bay Head Elementary School and graduated from Pt. Pleasant Beach High School in 1947. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Point Pleasant Beach where she was a Sunday School Teacher for many years, as well as a member of the Eastern Star and United Methodist Women. Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Robert; her son Robert Jr. and his companion Patricia VanNess of Spring Lake Heights; her daughter Linda and her husband Steve Garrison of Catonsville, MD, and two grandchildren, Lauren and Julia Garrison. She was predeceased by her grandson, Geoffrey Garrison. Audrey was proud of her Bay Head roots and loved the ocean, bay and beach. She enjoyed flower gardening and her handicrafts. More than anything, she loved her family, and as a wonderful cook, produced countless incredible meals, especially at the holidays. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, January 31 at the Pable-Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 1 a funeral service will be held at the funeral home followed by interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle.
