Obituary of Clarence Stanley Jones

Clarence Stanley Jones, 83, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Sunday, February 12, 2012. Born in Spring Lake, to the late Clarence J. and Una (Brower) Jones, he was a life long Point Pleasant resident. Mr. Jones was a retired self-employed excavator and in his youth worked at the Bay Head Station of the railroad. He was a United States Army, Korean War veteran and was stationed in Germany for over a year. Stanley was also a Stock Car racer at Wall Stadium and other local tracks. Predeceased by his brother, Gilbert, surviving are two brothers, Douglas and Phillip, both of Brick, several nieces, nephews, and other family members. Visitation will be from 9 - 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 18 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 11 a.m. a service will be held, followed by interment at Laurelton Baptist Cemetery.
