Obituary of Rocco S. Decorso

Rocco S. DeCorso, 78, of Brick, passed away, Wednesday, February 15, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Nutley, to the late Rocco & Frances DeCorso, he lived there before moving to Brick. Mr. DeCorso was a retired self-employed construction worker and was a United States Army, Korean War veteran and also an avid gardener His beloved wife, Mary Kopinski DeCorso, predeceased him in 2008. Surviving are his children, Roxanne Wood and her husband Edward, Cynthia Whaley and her husband Bruce, Rocco DeCorso IV, Marc DeCorso, and Albert DeCorso; his children that were born in his heart, Robin DeCorso, Joyce Sorenson, and Jill Erickson; his grandchildren, Jaclyn Hynes and her husband Joseph, Jessica Wood, Jamison Whaley, Kristin Foshie, Mikel Bradley & Maci Bradley, and Mia, Chandler, Marc, & Stephan DeCorso; and his great-grandchildren, Gavin, Joseph, & Katelyn Hynes, Kaiden Foshie, and Michael & Eric Bradley. Visitation will be from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m., Friday, Feb. 17 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 9 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 18, Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of Saint Martha, Point Pleasant, followed by interment at Saint Anne Cemetery, Wall.
