Obituary of Clara F. Laing

It is with great sadness that the family of Clara Frances Carlson Laing announce her passing on Sunday, April 22, 2012. She was born in Maryland on August 10, 1924 and raised in Kearny. She lived in Fords for twenty-eight years and has resided in Point Pleasant for the past thirty-five years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Bay Head Shores Property Owners Association. She was predeceased by her loving husband, H. Raymond Laing and by her parents, Edwin & Ruth Carlson. Surviving are her loving and devoted children, Edwin Laing and his wife Monica of Point Pleasant, Florence Yusko and her husband George of Edison, and Robert Laing and his wife Nancy of Brick; her sister, Evelyn Lamberg and her husband Bernie; and her sweet and faithful companion, Daisy. She is also survived by the loves of her life, her ten grandchildren, Thomas, Eric, Dennis, Kimberly, Melissa, Dan, Jennifer, Jessica, Douglas, and Rebecca; and her eight great-grandchildren, Colten, Kasen, Kenna, Isaac, Cavin, Clara, Jaxson, and Riley. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 25 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 10 a.m., Thursday, a service will be held at the funeral home, followed by interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle. In lieu of flowers, donations made in Clara's memory to a local animal shelter would be appreciated.
