Obituary of William G. Jamin

William G. Jamin, 83, of Brick, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012. Born in Union City, to the late George & Elizabeth Jamin, he lived there and also in North Bergen. In 1984 he moved to Toms River and in 2009 to Brick. Mr. Jamin proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant. He was a retired industrial machinist and a long time member of the V.F.W., Toms River Post. Mr. Jamin was also a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Toms River, where he served as an usher for many years. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Joan Eisberg Jamin; his daughter, Barbara Jamin; his brother, George Jamin; and by his sister, Betty Schnackenberg. Surviving are two daughters, Jennifer Stencel and her husband Mike of Point Pleasant and Susan Dorward and her husband James of Kinnelon; and four grandchildren, Samantha, Brianna, Aaron, and Jack. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 p.m., Monday, April 30 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 1, a service will be held at the funeral home, followed by interment at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
