Obituary of Elvin H. Brower

Elvin Hulse Brower, 94, of Brick, passed away, Friday, April 27, 2012 at Burnt Tavern Rehabilitation Center. Born April 11, 1918 in Brick, to the late Elvie & Ida Hulse Brower, he lived on the family farm his entire life. Mr. Brower worked for the New York and Long Branch Railroad, retiring after thirty years. During World War II he served as an Air Raid Warden and was active with the Boy Scouts of America. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and farming. He was a predeceased by his siblings, Edward, Ernest, Gilbert, Stella, Una, Janie, Marion, and Charlotte. Surviving are thirteen nieces and nephews and their families. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 1, at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 2, a graveside service, followed by interment, will be held at the Kettle Creek Cemetery, Brick. For online condolences to the family visit www.pableevertzfuneralhome.com
