Obituary of David C. Slavico

David C. Slavico, 73, of Point Pleasant Beach, passed away, Wednesday, May 9, 2012. Born in the Bronx, to the late Andrew & Lillian Slavico, he has lived in Point Pleasant Beach since 1971 and was formerly of Weehawken. Mr. Slavico was proudly served his country in the Untied States Navy and was a member and past commander of the American Legion and member of the V.F.W. He worked as a bridge operator and retired from the State of New Jersey, Department of Transportation and was a communicant of Saint Peter Parish, Point Pleasant Beach. His beloved wife, Joan, predeceased him in 2001. Surviving are his son, David C. Slavico, Jr. of Atlantic City; two daughters, Theresa Wurzburger, and her husband John, and Deborah Donohue, and her husband Sean, all of Point Pleasant Beach; his brother, Henry Slavico, and his wife Ruth; two sisters, Louise Bolte and Dorothy Magnussen and her husband Jeff; and grandchildren, Christopher & Kevin Donohue, Anthony & Brian Wurzburger, and Samantha & Ryan Slavico. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 p.m., Sunday, May 13 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 9:30 a.m., Monday, May 14, Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Peter R.C. Church, followed by entombment at Saint Catharine Cemetery Mausoleum, Sea. Girt.
