Obituary of Robert J. Stevens

Robert J. Stevens, 92, of Brick, passed away, Saturday, May 26, 2012 at The Chelsea at Brick. Born in East Orange, to the late Ortie & Mabel Read Stevens, he lived there before moving to Point Pleasant where he lived for many years. For twenty-five years he lived near Roswell, NM and has resided in Brick for the past seven years. A United States Army Air Corps, World War II veteran, Mr. Stevens worked as a self-employed carpenter, contractor, and builder. He was predeceased by his wife, Ethel Hollingsworth Stevens and two brothers, William & Ortie Stevens. Surviving are his son, Paul Stevens of FL; his granddaughter, Amanda Stevens Biegel; his great-grandson, Christian Biegel; and several dear friends. Visitation will be from 2 - 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 30, at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 3:30 p.m. a service will be held.
