Obituary of Steven W. Dowling

Steven W. Dowling, 55, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away suddenly at home on June 22, 2012. Steven was a lifelong resident of Point Pleasant until 1997, before moving to Florida. He was employed by RadTank, Inc. as a Sales and Warehouse Manager. Steven was dearly loved by his family. They will forever miss his humor and loving ways. Steven's passion in life was coaching football as he served as a volunteer coach for The Golden Elks Pop Warner Football Association for 22 years of his life. He is survived by his mother Eileen Clayton; daughter Shawn Shumbris and her husband Greg; grandson Zachary, his brother James; 3 sisters Lynda Murphy and husband Joe, Dianne Cooper and husband Bob, and Jeanne Crawford and husband Scott; his godson Thomas Crawford; 3 nieces Nicole and Kaitlyn Cooper and Lauren Crawford; half sister, Gloria Dowling and her son, Jason. Steven was predeceased by his father James Dowling. Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, July 1, from 2-4 p.m. at Pable-Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. A memorial service will be offered on Monday, July 2 from 2-3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Steven's memory to Golden Elks Pop Warner, P.O.
