Obituary of Richard C. Heyniger

Richard C. Heyniger, 78, of Brick, passed away suddenly, on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at his home. Born in Neptune, to the late Charles Heyniger and Emily Hampton Heyniger, he was formerly of Spring Lake and Point Pleasant, and moved to Brick twelve years ago. Mr. Heyniger was a United States Army veteran and proudly served as a member of the Presidential Honor Guard. A retired self -employed builder and contractor, he also worked as a home inspector and code enforcement officer for various municipalities in Ocean and Monmouth counties. He was a member of Goodwill Fire Company No. 2, Spring Lake; the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, the NJ State Exempt Firemen's Association; the Spring Lake Masonic Lodge No. 73, F. & A.M.; and B.P.O. Elks Lodge, No. 1698, Point Pleasant Beach. Known for his unique sense of humor, he loved to make people laugh. He loved boating and fishing, as well as travelling with his wife and family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family who he so loved and adored. He will be sorely missed by so many. Surviving are his beloved wife, of forty two years, Nicole Stewart Heyniger; four daughters, Kim Mulhern and her husband James of Allentown, Linda Olliver and her husband Michael of Baltimore, MD, Tammy Estelle and her husband Todd of Forked River, and Suzanne Donlan and her husband Sean of Brick; one sister, Lois Hansen and her husband Morten of NC; and three grandchildren, Melanie Mulhern, Aaron Estelle, and Camryn Donlan. Visitation will be from 4 - 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 11 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 12 a service will be held.
