Obituary of Louis John Flora

Louis John Flora, 81, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Monday, July 23, 2012 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Born in Jersey City, to the late Joseph & Angelina (DeMato) Flora; he had lived in Jackson and has resided in Point Pleasant for forty years. Mr. Flora was a retired general contractor and also former owner and operator of Flora Fantasy Patio & Garden Center, Howell. He was predeceased by two sons, James and John; and two sisters, Rosie Dresser and Genevieve Nickertoi. Surviving are his beloved wife, Theo Ann Backhaus Flora; four sons, Louis of FL, Joseph of Manchester, Anthony of FL, and Richard of Toms River; three daughters, Sandra Allaire of FL, Noreen Van Salisbury of Brick, and Loreen Pizzella of Las Vegas, NV; three brothers, Anthony of Freehold, Joseph of Jackson, and George of Forked River; one sister, Mary Nagy of FL; twenty five grandchildren; and twenty one great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m., Thursday, July 26 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 8:30 p.m. a service will be held.
