Obituary of Dorothy J. Clark
Dorothy J. Bennato Clark, 69, of Lakewood, passed away, Monday, October 12, 2015.
Born in Blackpool, England, to the late Philip D. & Dorothy Bennato, she lived in Saddle Brook and moved to Brick in 1970 and Lakewood in 2008.
A graduate of William Paterson University, Mrs. Clark worked as a teacher and as a permanent substitute for Brick Twp. Schools. She also tutored and mentored countless students to achieve academic success.
She was an active Girl Scouts of America leader and dog lover. She also was an avid motor home traveler, visiting forty-four states and several provinces of Canada.
Surviving are her loving husband, of forty-seven years, Stephen J. Clark; two daughters, Tamara Clark of Brick and Heather Dlugosz and her husband Richard of Brick; and three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Dominic, and Anna. Also surviving are her brother, Philip Bennato; cousin, Margaret Bydlik and her husband Brian and their children, Caitlyn and Matthew; uncle, William Kean; and many dear friends.
Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 16 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 7:30 p.m. a service will be held.
