Obituary of Robert S. Hishon

Robert S. Hishon, 71, of Brick, peacefully passed away on Monday, July 11, 2016. Born in Elizabeth, he lived there and in Summit before moving to Brick in his youth. He graduated from Brick Township High School and was a United States Army, Vietnam era veteran. Bob was employed by the United States Postal Service at various locations and retired as Postmaster of the Sea Girt office. Prior to that, he worked for the Central Railroad and after retiring at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home, Point Pleasant. He was a former coach and proud supporter of the Brick Township High School football and sports programs; volunteered at Ocean Medical Center, Brick; and was active with Princeton Commons Bocce Ball. At 9:30 a.m., Friday, July 22 a Memorial Liturgy will be celebrated at the Church of Saint Martha, 3800 Herbertsville Road, Point Pleasant.
