Obituary of Edward W. Meagher
Edward W. Meagher, 89, of Mantoloking, passed away, Wednesday, March 1, 2017.
Born in Brooklyn to the late William and Josephine Meagher, he lived in Seaford, Long Island, Boonton, and has for many years in Mantoloking.
Ed worked as a pressman and retired from the New York Times and was a United States Navy, World War II veteran.
He was predeceased by his infant daughter in 1954.
Surviving are his wife, Donna; his son, Edward W. Meagher, Jr. and his wife Lois of Havertown, PA; and his daughter, Carolyn O'Leary and her husband Toby of Cottonwood, AZ. Also surviving are sister, Patricia Higby; three step-children, Chris Iorio and her husband Victor of Brick, Greg Benson and his wife Peg of Boonton, and Kimberly Loevy and her husband Daniel of Point Pleasant; and six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
At 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 7 a Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint William the Abbot Church, Seaford, NY, followed by interment at Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
