Obituary of Kim W. Wooten

Kim W. Wooten (nee Ferris), 76, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020.

Born in Kearny to the late William W. Ferris, Sr. and Viola Hansen Ferris, she was a lifelong area resident and 1961 graduate of Point Pleasant Beach High School.

Kim worked as an executive secretary and was a parishioner of Saint Mary’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Wesley L. Wooten.

Surviving are her daughter, Kerry Ovalle; two grandchildren, Jessica Ovalle and David Ovalle, all of MA; and former son-in-law, Eduardo Ovalle of Mexico.  Also surviving are her brother, William W. Ferris, Jr.; her nieces, nephews, and their families, Carolyn Valente, Thomas Comerford, Jr., Robert Comerford, Shari Comerford, and Kelly Matthews; and several cousins.

At 11 a.m., Saturday, January 11 a service will be held at Saint Mary’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, 804 Bay Avenue (corner of Atlantic Ave.) Point Pleasant Beach. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
