Obituary of Helen H. Wright

Helen H. Wright passed peacefully at home on Monday, September 19th, 2022, at the age of 88 after a long and fulfilling life.

She is survived by her sons, WIlliam and Stanley Wright; her daughter-in-law, Suzanne Wright; her grandchildren, Nicholas Wright, Elizabeth and Jordan Lane, Megan Kelly, and Shannon Kelly; her great-grandchildren, Harrison Lane and Jordan Lane II; and many friends and loved ones. She was predeceased by her brothers, Jim, Thomas, and Bub Harrison; her son, Thomas Wright, her grandson, Collin Wright, and her husband, Howard Wright. 

Helen was born in 1933 in Saint Louis, Missouri. She was a passionate second grade school teacher at Allenwood Elementary School for most of her life, and spent many years caring for her beloved horse, Blaze and her Westie, Lucy. Helen was a Daughter of the American Revolution as well as a sister of Pi Beta Phi sorority at Washington University in Saint Louis. Helen regularly enjoyed vacationing in Cape Cod, birdwatching, eating various forms of shellfish, and playing competitive card games with friends and family.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4 – 6 p.m., Thursday, September 22 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road.
