


Obituary of Barry J. Prascsak
Barry J. Prascsak, 59, of Manchester, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022.
Born in Neptune, he grew up in Eatontown and lived for many years in Point Pleasant before moving to Manchester three years ago.
Barry worked as a retail manager for Acme Supermarket, Fair Haven, for over forty-one years.
Barry was an avid golfer who enjoyed getting out on the course whenever possible with his friends and family. He was also a dedicated sports fan where he could always be found rooting for the Steelers and the Yankees with his constant companion, our dog, Jaba. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his father, George M. Prascsak, Sr.; mother, Olga Dutka Prascsak; and his brother, Lt. Col. George M. Prascsak, Jr.
Barry is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-two years, Donna Hurley Prascsak; and two sons, Nick Prascsak and Andrew Prascsak. He is also survived by his brother, Wayne Prascsak and wife, Joanne; and two sisters, Sandra Castles and husband, Charles and Kathy Potaczek and husband, Don.
Visitation will be from 4 – 7 p.m., Tuesday, November 1 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 2 a Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at the Church of Saint Martha, 3800 Herbertsville Road, Point Pleasant. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in Barry’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project www.woundedwarriorproject.org
