Obituary of Shirley W. Snyder

Shirley White Snyder, 95, of Toms River, formerly of Point Pleasant, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022.

Born in Point Pleasant to the late, Clarence and Edith White, she was raised there, along with her sister, Alice, and was a graduate of Point Pleasant Beach High School.

Shirley married the love of her life, Clyde Snyder on September 8, 1946 and together they raised two children, Clyde Snyder, III and Pamala Flores.  She was blessed with three grandsons, whom she adored, Clyde Snyder, IV, Zachary Snyder, and Robert Flores, Jr. and had the pleasure of seeing four great-grandchildren grow up.

After the death of her husband in 1989, she moved to the Original Leisure Village, Lakewood, and in 2017 moved in with her daughter in Toms River.  Shirley joined the Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church at the age of 18 and remained and active member until her passing. She especially loved singing in the choir for over fifty years.

Arrangements were held privately.
