Obituary of Angelina Ercolino Knecht

Angelina Ercolino Knecht, 94, of Farmingdale, passed away, Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Born in River Edge, to the late Frank & Antoinette Ercolino, she had lived in Union and also in Lakewood before moving to Farmingdale last year. Mrs. Knecht was an active volunteer for Point Pleasant Hospital, Ocean Medical Center, the Children's Specialized Hospital, Westfield, and most recently Saint Gregory's Pantry, Point Pleasant Beach. She was a member and past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star and former member of the River Edge Fire Department Auxiliary. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, William Edward Knecht, Sr. in 2002. Surviving are her daughter, Joanne Tartza and her husband Michael of Farmingdale; her son, William E. Knecht, Jr. of Point Pleasant; eight grandchildren, Terri, Tammy, Chris, Toni, Will, Jesse, Robin, and Renee; and twelve great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 - 7 p.m., Friday, August 17 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 6:30 p.m. a service will be held. At 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 18, a graveside service, followed by interment, will take place at Hollywood Cemetery, Union.
