Obituary of Gloria D. Sytch

Gloria Donoghue Sytch, 79, of Point Pleasant, passed away at her home on Sunday, March 24, 2013. Born in Carteret, to the late Thomas and Eleanor Donoghue, she was a long time North Edison resident and has lived in Point Pleasant for the past eight years. Mrs. Sytch and her late husband, Gregory founded the General Technical Institute, Linden, and operated the school for over fifty years. She attended the University of Maryland and later graduated, with honors, from Middlesex County College. She was an avid reader, pianist, and contributor to many organizations over the years. She was predeceased by her husband, Gregory G. Sytch; brother, Thomas Donoghue; and sister, Eleanor Donoghue-Cole. Surviving are four children, Cara A. Lembo of Point Pleasant, Thomas A. Sytch of Bradley Beach, Gregory R. Sytch and Lynda D. Gambetta, both of New Port Richie, FL. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Ashley Lynn Griffiths, Alexander Lembo, and Michael Gambetta; her cousin, Joan Hanie; and several nieces and nephews. A 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 29 a memorial service will be held at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road.
