Obituary of Rita Blasko

RITA "AUNT RITA" McGEE BLASKO, 92, of POINT PLEASANT, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Meridian Nursing Center, Brick. Born in Jersey City, to the late Terence & Catherine Stone McGee, she lived there until moving to Point Pleasant forty years ago. Rita retired as a customer supervisor from Colgate-Palmolive, Jersey City, where she worked for forty years. She was a member of the Beehive and communicant both of Saint Martha Church, Point Pleasant. She was predeceased by her husband, John Blasko and by her brothers, Al, Joe, and Terry McGee. Surviving to cherish her memory are fifteen nieces and nephews; twenty nine great and twenty six great-great nieces and nephews, and their families. Friends may visit from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m., Tuesday, February 3rd, at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant (732.899.3300) At 11 a.m., Wednesday, Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Martha Church followed interment at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
