The Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

We are saddened to hear that Nicky has passed. We all have such great memories of him when we were young. Although we lost touch over the years his name would still come up with funny stories and fond memories. I had the pleasure to bowl with Nicky on the school team in High School and as we all know his Trade Mark was sliding on the opposite foot! It is a terrible loss and our prayers go out to the family. You will be missed.

Nick,
I was deeply saddened when I learned of your death. Although we lost touch of the years you will always be in my happiest memories from our high school days. We really had a great time together especially many nights at Old Mill School field with millers and a fire.
I remember how much of a hard time you would give me when I picked you up for school in the winter and the heat in my car was broken. Didn’t really matter we always skipped first period anyway…too many funny stories and too much fun that no one would ever believe us.
God bless you and God bless your family.
Tim

Nick "You were so special"
We were all blessed to be with you when you were here.
Now the big guy has plans for you, he probably wants someone to fish with and chose you.
Sam and Hannah loved their Uncle Nick and your memory will live on with them forever, that's for sure.
Your sister loved you, you were her big brother and she never forgot that.
Buster also loved his time over your house with Boo "Niko".
The last summer at the pool with you and Shannon will be with us forever. Great memories of you in all of our lives.
You were a quiet guy but always fun to be around.
I never knew what a Gimlet, Galleano, or capers were until you and the family let me in.
Shannon and I had that one big thing in common we were not Bonafide,but we got into the family. That was not easy you guys were a tight group, but we all became family.
We had fun in those early years before we were all married.
Some things I will always remember - Dinners at your mom's and just hanging out on the back deck you with a cigarette and me with my cigar. Then Christmas Eve and getting our PJ's, Christmas at your Grandparents, Chinese food with Choppy (NO MSG), Christmas Day scratching off lottery tickets and opening all the present your mom bought everyone (I had never seen so many presents), Christmas Breakfast and Butch burning the english muffins, Cocktails before dinner at your mom's, Creme De Mint on ice after dinner, Shannon and I battling over nothing at all then learning to appreciate one another, you also introduced me to the stock market & EBAY, then those Thanksgiving dinners - Nanny making food for 40 people when we only had 6 or 8, St. Pat's Day dinner with Nanny & Pa's Corn Beef, football pool back in the day, Superbowl parties, All those dinners at Nanny & Pa's with just the family, Holidays were our special times together.
At each holiday in the future you may not be their physically but I know you'll be with us.
Every time I go bye the Manasquan Inlet or someone talks about fishing or bowling I think of you. Sam was on the Wall high school bowling team this year just like her Uncle Nick.
We were very different people me the loud out spoken guy and you the soft spoken nice guy but we always got along very well. I loved being around you and always enjoyed our conversations about things.
Only your family knows that great wit and sense of humor you had. I feel blessed that we all got to spend so much time together over the past few years, especially this past summer with the girls at the pool and at this years Super Bowl party.
We all loved you Nick and we wish we had more time to share with you.
We love Shannon and she will always be part of our life and help us remember you.
People say "death is a tragedy, but only for the living."
<3 I believe that to be true and know you are in a much better place right now. <3
One day we will all be together again so save some seats for all of us at the table for dinner.
