Obituary of Carol A Brennan

CAROL A. BLUMBERG BRENNAN, 50, of WALL, passed away, Thursday, April 9, 2009 at home, with her loving family at her side. Born in Hackensack, to the late Frederick and Jean Frank Blumberg, she was raised in Maywood and had lived in Secaucus before residing in Wall Twp. for the past eleven years. She began her career in law enforcement with the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office, Narcotics Task Force and retired as Deputy Chief of Investigation for the State of New Jersey, Division of Criminal Justice, Office of the Attorney General. She was a member of Women in Law Enforcement, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 91, and communicant of Saint Catharine Church, Spring Lake. A beloved wife, loving mother, cherished sister, and friend, surviving are her husband, Kevin J. Brennan; two children, Sean W. Brennan and Colleen S. Brennan, both at home; three sisters, Patricia James and her husband William of Kinnelon, Joanne Blumberg, and Virginia Murphy and her husband Timothy, all of Secaucus; and her nieces & nephews, Michael, Jean, Julianne, Jake, Harry, Michael, Ray, and Eric. She is also survived by her aunt, uncles, cousins, and a broad extended family. Friends may visit from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m., Tuesday at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 11 a.m., Wednesday, Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Margaret Church, Third & Ludlow Avenues, Spring Lake. Cremation will be held privately. As an expression of sympathy, contributions made in her memory to the Franklin-NJBEST (529), College Scholarship Fund, (For the Benefit of Sean & Colleen Brennan), PO Box 2545, Secaucus, NJ 07096, are suggested.
