Obituary of Margaret W. Pearce

Margaret W. Pearce, 98, of Salisbury, MD, formerly of Point Pleasant, passed away, Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at the Salisbury Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born in Point Pleasant, to the late David and Bessie Pearce, she was a life long resident and moved to Salisbury in 2007. Mrs. Pearce worked at the Kings Grant Inn, Point Pleasant, and retired as head housekeeper in 1975. She was a 1929 graduate of the Point Pleasant Beach High School and member of the Harvey Memorial United Methodist Church. An avid gardener, she also enjoyed knitting, and truly loved her family. She was predeceased by her husband of sixty-four years, Harvey W. Pearce and by her daughter, Janice Elaine Downs. Surviving are her son, Burnet H. Pearce and his wife Nancy of Chance, MD; six grandchildren and their spouses, Diane & Frank Skerletts, Harvey & Cindy Downs, Lee & Christy Downs, Larry & Mia Downs, Robert & Diane Pearce, and Burnet E. & Dee Pearce; and eleven great-grandchildren.
