Obituary of Shirley R. Williamson

Shirley R. Williamson, 92, a longtime resident of Mantoloking, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 20, 2016. Mrs. Williamson was predeceased by her devoted husband, Norman K. Williamson. Throughout her life she was beloved by her family near and far including her four dear cousins, their children, and many lifelong friends. A graduate of Cedar Crest College, Shirley worked in the admissions department of Upsala College and students she worked with stayed in touch long after their graduation. After retiring she became an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and attended Sacred Heart Church, Bay Head. Her other interests included the Yankees, New York Times crossword puzzles, reading, and caring for her adopted pets. A memorial gathering will be from Noon – 1 p.m., Saturday, September 24, at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road.
