Obituary of Patrick Joseph DeMarcky

Patrick Joseph DeMarcky, 71, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He was born in Jersey City and lived there most of his life until moving to Point Pleasant twenty years ago. He was a long-time employee and retiree of New Jersey Bell Telephone/Verizon working in a variety of roles as a splicer, lineman, and technician. A kind and loving soul, Patrick was an avid coin collector. He thoroughly enjoyed metal-detecting and treasure hunting as well as reading fantasy/action novels. He was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Stephen DeMarcky. Patrick is survived by his loving daughter, Kathleen M. Clayton and her husband James E. Clayton; a sister and brother-in-law, Rose and Thomas Lyons; and by many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all who knew him. His memorial is being planned and will be announced at a later date. A private cremation was arranged by the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant.
