I remember Ronnie very well - from Carvel mostly, where he was the nicest of the "older kids, especially " toward youngsters seeking refreshment in the form of 35 cent root beer floats on the way home from St. Peter's. Big, friendly, blond haired guy with a smile that could light up the night. RIP. Condolences to his family and many friends. SD

To Ron's family,
I was saddened to hear of Ron's untimely passing. I had not seen him in many years, but grew up not far from him and knew him well during our school years through high school.
What I remember about Ron is that he was always smiling, always had a friendly hello, and had an unerringly accurate shot from 15 feet and out on the basketball court. He was a good guy.
My condolences on your loss, and may Ron be smiling somewhere as he knocks down three-pointers.
Regards,
Bill Gillette,

Ronnie was always a great friend and I remember having great times with him and Andy playing together in grade school. Over the years only saw Ronnie twice at HS reunions since I left Point to go to college in Cincinnati. He will be missed. My condolences to your entire family.

My condolences to Rena and the children. Ron lived just three houses up the street on Curtis Avenue and we spent many weekends playing around the neighborhood and Manasquan River. He was always a good friend, kind, and always a happy smiling face. I am glad I got to see him again at our reunion after so many years. During our high school years we both worked at Bob Hoffman's, then still a Carvel, and he was always laughing as hard as he worked. I will miss you Ron but am grateful for the memories on Curtis Avenue which I float back to many times as I grow older. Rest in Peace.
